The Western New York Flash were selected as one of eight founding members for the National Womens Soccer League after winning three-straight league titles (2012 WPSL-E, 2011 WPS, 2010 W-League). The Flash finished the inaugural NWSL season with the leagues best regular-season record, claiming the NWSL Shield.
The team plays at Sahlens Stadium in Rochester, NY and trains out of Sahlen Sports Park in Elma, NY.
